Multilayer Vinyl: Structure, Technology, and Technical Advantages.

Multilayer vinyl flooring represents a highly specialized covering solution, developed to meet the demands of residential and commercial environments that require high technical performance, comfort, and durability. This type of flooring combines materials engineering with contemporary aesthetics, providing a functional, durable, and efficient installation surface.

Multilayer technology consists of the superposition of different materials, each with a specific role in the performance of the coating

The typical structure includes:

Matte or UV finish: Finishing the wear layer with treatments that increase durability and facilitate maintenance.

Acoustic screen: Lower component that helps attenuate impact noise and vibration, improving the overall acoustic performance of the room.

Rigid core (SPC/WPC/MCA): Provides dimensional stability, warping resistance, and increased load-bearing capacity.

Sound absorption layer (in some models): Enhances sound comfort, especially in MCA typologies.

HD decorative layer: High-definition printed film that simulates natural wood-like patterns, ensuring visual realism.

Wear layer: High-resistance, transparent surface with variable thickness (up to 0.70 mm), which protects against scratches, abrasion, and chemical agents.

Technical Types: SPC, WPC, and MCA

Trevo Floors offers three categories of multilayer vinyl with distinct technical characteristics:

SPC (Stone Plastic Composite)

Composition: calcium carbonate (stone dust) + PVC

Properties: high rigidity, excellent thermal stability, water resistance

Application: ideal for high-traffic areas due to the hard core

Installation: glueless click system

WPC (Wood Plastic Composite)

Composition: wood fibers + polymers

Properties: greater thermal and sound comfort, less rigidity compared to SPC

Application: environments that prioritize underfoot comfort

Installation: click system with good performance on uneven surfaces

MCA (Master Comfort Acoustic)

Composition: Vinyl core with mineral reinforcement + multiple acoustic layers

Total thickness: 9 mm

Wear layer: 0.70 mm

Sound reduction: up to 21 dB

Properties: Premium comfort, excellent acoustic performance, refined design with a matte finish

Compatibility: Suitable for hydraulic underfloor heating

Application: Intensive use in residential and commercial spaces with medium to high traffic

Technical and Functional Advantages

Dimensional stability: Suitable for areas with temperature variations, such as areas with radiant heating.

Noise reduction: Ideal for multi-family buildings or commercial spaces where acoustic comfort is critical

High durability: Thick wear layer and technical finish ensure longevity in demanding environments

Simplified installation: Click-fit system facilitates installation and reduces construction time

Easy maintenance: Water and dirt resistance allows for simple and effective cleaning
