Natural Wood Multilayers – TREVO Wood Collection

What are multilayer floors?

Hardwood multilayer floors are a more stable, practical, and environmentally friendly alternative to solid wood. This product consists of several overlapping layers that are ready to use after manufacture, with no need for any type of finish. A product that allows you to work with the nobility of wood with a wide variety of finishes and excellent dimensional stability and technical performance.

This solution consists of three layers, the bottom layer composed of high-quality wood fibers, the middle layer consisting of plywood or chipboard, creating the stability necessary for a wood floor. The visible layer, traditionally called the lamella, is the layer of noble wood and can have different thicknesses depending on the reference in question. These products may feature a click or tongue and groove fitting system.

Some of the advantages of multi-layer flooring:

Ready to install;
Rationalization of wood;
Increased property value;
Thermal and acoustic insulation;
Unique and exclusive visual pattern;
Possibility of sanding in the future;
Greater stability compared to solid wood flooring;

Gradings for Trevo Wood multilayer flooring selection:

Grading is a way of classifying the appearance of a multilayer flooring lamella according to a set of visual characteristics, namely variation in tone, presence of knots, knots, and resin pockets. As Trevo Wood Floors are manufactured in different countries and subject to different regulatory frameworks for appearance class, we have grouped the different gradings into three distinct categories: Prime, Face, and Rustic, to facilitate understanding.

Prime – Selection of slats mostly free of knots, with little variation in wood tone. Minimal or no repaired knots and knots.

Face – Selection of lamella with knot-free strips, strips with small and large knots, filled knots, and knots. Allows for variation in tone and stain. Filler used in black or natural color.

Rustic – Selection of rustic lamellae allowing for variation in tone, stain, unlimited number of knots, and filled knots. Black or natural-colored filler used.
